The lectures on “Inclusion as a Fundamental Value of the EU” were aimed at both students and faculty members of the Western Regional Branch of the National University of Mongolia. The primary goal was to increase awareness and understanding of inclusion as a core value of the European Union. Through these lectures, Mongolian participants explored the EU’s principles, policies, and practices that promote inclusivity across the EU, with a particular focus on social inclusion, equal opportunities in education and learning, and the implementation in practice of anti-discrimination measures for persons with disabilities and special needs in the workplace. Participants in the lectures on “Inclusion as a Fundamental Value of the EU” gained a deeper understanding of the European Union’s commitment to inclusivity and how this value shapes policies across various sectors, including education, society, and the workplace. Students and faculty members of the Western Regional Branch of the National University of Mongolia were better equipped to understand the challenges of implementing inclusion policies, particularly in educational and workplace contexts, and how these challenges can be overcome to foster a culture of equality and respect for diversity and for persons with disabilities and special needs. The lectures were also intended to spark ongoing interest in EU values.
